In the branch of OJSC “FSK UES” – Trunk Power Grids (MEA) of the Urals – the construction of a fiber-optic communication line (FOCL) at 220 kV power line Falenki – Star. It is in the construction of fiber optic Kirov – Izhevsk – Perm, which will improve the technological control grid facilities of 220 kV. As a result, the work will be increased reliability of electricity supply to consumers of the Kirov region, Perm and Udmurtia Republic with a population of about 6 million people. The project to build fiber-optic Kirov – Izhevsk – Perm involves laying 652 km fiber-optic infrastructure MES Urals and 226 km on the distribution grid infrastructure, complex objects, calling at the Urals Transmission Grids. A total of 17 fiber optic passes through substations 220-500 kV. There are plans to build about 74 km fiber-optic one of the last areas of the project – lines 220 kV Falenki – Star, which connects the Kirov and the Udmurt grid. To complete the construction of FOCL Kirov – Izhevsk – Perm plan by July 2011. FOCL will organize digital channels and transmission of telemetry data from sites in the Urals Transmission Grids direction control centers and the Urals Transmission Grids branch of OAO “UES System Operator” by an independent from each other trails. Accordingly, the objects will increase the observability of the Urals Transmission Grids. Dispatch staff will be able to see all the changes in their operational status online, faster and better predict the operation of the equipment, to prevent the development of technological failures.
